New Construction Commissioning
Altura is providing LEED and CALGreen commissioning services for Phase I of the $1 billion Metropolis Los Angeles development in downtown Los Angeles. The first phase of the development includes a 38-story, 335,000 SF residential tower and a 19-story, 274,000 SF hotel tower in the South Park district of downtown Los Angeles. The project is designed by Gensler and owned by Greenland USA, a subsidiary of Shanghai developer Greenland Group.
As the project’s commissioning agent, Altura is providing analytics-driven commissioning using the firm’s innovative Connected Building Commissioning approach. The use of an advanced fault detection and analytics platform will not only support the commissioning process, but will also be used throughout the first year warranty period for analysis and issue discovery, enabling continuous analysis of all equipment and systems, ensuring issues are identified and corrected while under warranty.
Altura’s commissioning services will fulfill CALGreen requirements and support a minimum goal of LEED Silver. The first phase of the project is under construction and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2016.
