Retro-Commissioning

Altura is engaged in a long term effort to reduce the energy usage of the central chilled water plants at 10 properties in Las Vegas.  MGM properties in Las Vegas, NV, include CityCenter, Luxor, New York New York, MGM Grand, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Circus Circus, Mote Carlo, and Mirage. Altura performed site visits to assess the performance of these plants based on observations and operator feedback, and extracted trends from the automation system to identify systematic controls issues contributing to increased energy consumption. Opportunities to improve performance were derived from the results of on-site testing, and implemented with Altura’s support. Project to date has delivered more than $650k per year in verified energy cost savings.
