Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Headquarters

New Construction Commissioning

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation recently completed construction of its new headquarters. The $24 million, 22,000 SF facility exceeds LEED Platinum performance standards and is designed to be a net-zero energy building. Altura team members led and oversaw the commissioning process for the facility, which included the deployment of SkySpark automated fault detection and diagnostics (FDD) system to support deep systems commissioning and performance verification.

Altura is engaged in the on-going optimization of this unique fan-less buoyancy driven cooling system, leveraging the analytics platform to proactively identify issues, verify systems performance, and facilitate ongoing training of building operators. Altura is also directly engaged in the Measurement and Verification process for the facility, in conjunction with the design engineering team (WSP Flack and Kurtz). Altura oversaw the development of a detailed test and balance plan for this unique system, and worked to develop unique control strategies for minimum ventilation control. Altura also assisted with the design and selection of a comprehensive sub-metering program, including more than 100 individual meter points for M&V analysis.
